MY WORST NIGHTMARE
I was on the couch, watching a movie, when from the bar below my house I started to hear screams saying "NO, NO!".
I went out to the balcony to see what was happening, but to get to know what I would see next, surely I would not have wanted to go out and see nothing.
We live on the 3F floor. My neighbor next door, the one on floor 3E, was a young woman, about 40 years old. He lived with his father, an old man who only wanted what was best for his daughter. Apparently, she had been hooked for a few years to the drug and her father would not let her leave the house with the intention of not rising.
Both she and her father seemed to be the most normal, but that night, everything came to light.
When I went out to the balcony, the first thing I saw was the woman sitting on her back on the iron railing, threatening to take her life at that moment. I called my mother, but when she arrived, my neighbor threw herself off the balcony, falling backwards onto the cold asphalt. He was on the ground for a couple of minutes while the ambulances and police arrived, but suddenly they began to crack, and as he turned he saw that the whole floor was stained with blood.
I could not believe what I was seeing.
After a few minutes the police arrived and when they saw me on the balcony they asked me if I knew her and on what floor she lived.
I told them everything I knew and opened the door for them to enter. They got up very quickly and knocked on the door next door. No one answered, because the old man was a little deaf, but suddenly he woke up and opened the door. As soon as he saw the police, he knew that something had happened to his daughter. He became very nervous and began to ask what had happened to his daughter. The policemen explained it tactfully, but the man began to cry and ran down. When she came down, the woman had been taken to the ambulance.
Although my mother would not let me be on the balcony while all this happened, I refused to leave. I wanted to know what would happen to that woman's life, but because of that, that night I could barely sleep at all.
When I finally got to sleep, I dreamed that the one I threw was me. At that moment did not distinguish that it was a dream and that was the reality. I woke up suddenly with an anxiety attack and went to sleep in my mother's bed because I was afraid to be alone in my room.The next day, the news came that the woman had not survived the coup.
From that moment I was several weeks without daring to pass alone in front of his flat.
I know that maybe it was not the best way to learn it, but now I am very clear that I will NEVER try drugs, and I am aware of the damage they can cause to both the person and those around him.
